What is K-Line Pod Irrigation? What You Should Know

Lubbock Irrigation Supply - Watermaster pros

The K-Line Pod Irrigation system was a marvel when first introduced in the 1990s. With a low-cost and simple design, K-Line quickly spread from its home country of New Zealand to the United States and the world. It didn’t take long for farmers from all walks of life to realize that the K-Line system could be adapted to any type, size or shape of the field. Installation was made easy with it’s above ground design that cut out the hassle of worrying about fencing, roots, pipes, and buildings.

The K-Line system also has an edge with water conservation, as smaller sprinklers benefit from slower absorption rates because they irrigate over a longer period of time.

What to use K-Line systems for:

  • Pasture, alfalfa and forage irrigation
  • Effluent disposal
  • Sod farm Irrigation
  • Vegetable and orchard irrigation
  • Land reclamation
  • Fire and dust control
  • Logging moisture control
  • Golf courses
  • Indoor and outdoor arena conditioning or dust control
  • Racetrack & equestrian conditioning

Benefits of K-Line

When it comes to irrigation, many professionals choose K-Line because of the flexibility and durability of both the pods and the tubing. Also, the system can fit any field and terrain. The K-Line system is made for the convenience of farmers. Farmers can shift the line in under five minutes without halting operation and the pods won’t disturb any livestock from grazing. In order to make the most of scarce water resources, K-Line slow absorption sprinklers prevent run-off and allow for water to seep into the soil.
